Tasting Notes

Tasting Notes

  • Tasting Notes by The Whisky Exchange

    • Nose

Initial sweetness – caramel, brown sugar – gives way to soft fruity notes and vanilla.

    • Palate

More savoury than the nose suggests, with toasted nuts and cinnamon notes.

    • Finish

Initially light but sweet spice builds over time.

    Shenoy,

A perfect introduction to the world of bourbons. Easy sipping, maple syrup and vanilla notes, this is a must have in every home bar.

    Big D,

It a difficult one makers mark. It's a great bourbon if you give it some time in the glass like a good 10 minutes and like most bourbon room temperature or above. It can be very alcohol forward for a 45 percent bourbon if it's not left but there is a wonderful drink here with some really nice sweet bourbon flavours

    Louis Molloy,

Initial scent: mothers nail varnish remover, sweetness detected, however, overpowered by menthol on a winters day. Taste: evaporates off the tongue like half a hive of wasps. God forbid you have a cut on your lip. Lingering taste: oaky sunflowers and gasoline. Aftertaste: dry bread and prolonged acid reflux, gives an overwhelming sense of regret. I can honestly say I would rather drink listerine then chug ice water in Antarctica. 9/10

    Anonymous,

This and Woodford Reserve are the two best reasonably-prices bourbons I've tasted.

    Anonymous,

My whiskey of choice at the moment. A great drink to end the day.
