Product Description
This is the relaunched version of Bunnahabhain 18yo, having ditched the caramel colouring and chill-filtration and upped the strength to 46.3%. A triumph for 'naturalist' whisky drinkers.

I got this per suggestion from the seller at WE cause I liked Aberlour A’Bunnah. This unlike its peaty neighbors is full bodied, smooth and rich in nut and fruits thanks to sherry casks it has aged in. Absolutely a favorite for the price . Better than many at 3x the price.

Probably my favourite distillery, this 18yo was a present for my 60th birthday. Beautiful amber colour. Toffee then the alcohol on the nose. Sweet then salt follows almost immediately on the palate. Smooth on the way down, and that leather stays on the palate after, and then the toffee comes back a minute or so later. The team at Bunnahabhain certainly know how to please their customers. This is as good as it gets.

I've had Bunnahabain 18 last year and gave it a score of 96/100. Our whisky group visited the distillery last year (2019) and purchased a 40 year old bottle that was a 99/100. If you want a smooth less expensive Scotch, then the Bunnahabain 18 is the one to buy. I live in Indianapolis Indiana US and Bunnahabain is hard to find, that is why I use the Whisky Exchange to buy even Kentucky Bourbons.

I found this a very smooth Scotch. Has a great finish as well as a light tease at the end. It does finish fast but I like it because each drink makes me want more.
-
Excellent whisky and well worth the price.
