Bruichladdich 1991 14 Year Old WMDII - Yellow Submarine

I have a bottle tucked away in my drinks cabinet, given as a present some 6 years ago, will stay there as I have no intentions of opening.

I visited the Bruichladdich distillery in 2009 and I managed to buy a bottle of WMDII Yellow Submarine shortly afterwards after hearing of the legend. As much as I love malt whiskey, this bottle sits proud and unopened in my whiskey cupboard - it just looks far too good to drink.

I got two bottles of this from my work with the intention of keeping one in the hope it would be worth some money one day i paid £45.99 each for them. After drinking the first one it was so good i couldnt possibly not drink the other one. Even though they are now on sale for 10 times what I paid for them I made the right decision. Phenomenal whisky as a previous commenter said "i would sacrifice a nut to get my grubby little hands on this whisky again"

yes, I have been asked so many times what is the best whisky? There is no answer to the question but my favorite is the Yellow Submarine. Thank You!

I would sacrifice a nut to get my grubby little hands on this whisky again.I visited the Bruichladdich distillery. I'd spent much time bartending trying the best whiskies on offer. When I got to the distillery, I was amazed at the craft poured into the whiskies. I got a bottle on the spot, and my only regret is not buying 11 more.If you get a chance, buy it. If you don't want to buy it, buy some anyway, and sell it to me.
