    • Nose

      Buttery cinnamon toast, concentrated raisin in the background, astringent woody touches, glacé cherry, barrel char.

    • Palate

      Big sweet butter hit, with maple syrup, brown sugar, plump raisins, nutmeg, milk chocolate and more of the char from the nose.

    • Finish

      Medium length, with chocolate, raisins and more char.

    • Comment

      A sweet dram with good levels of sherry spice and richness, although not overly heavy. There is a touch of welcome bitter char that reigns the dram in before it can become too sweet, providing excellent balance.

    I usually drink single malt with one cube of ice, but with Aberlour I prefer it neat. It's just perfect that way.

    As the other reviews have said, this is excellent. Along the lines of Glenmorangie (which I really enjoy), but more balanced and well rounded. May be my favorite.
