Aberlour is always a good choice - one of the best value Speyside malts around. This double matured version is a mix of traditional oak and sherry casks and is rich and fruity with delicious Christmas cake notes.Tasting Notes (1)

Tasting Notes by Billy A
Buttery cinnamon toast, concentrated raisin in the background, astringent woody touches, glacé cherry, barrel char.
Big sweet butter hit, with maple syrup, brown sugar, plump raisins, nutmeg, milk chocolate and more of the char from the nose.
Medium length, with chocolate, raisins and more char.
A sweet dram with good levels of sherry spice and richness, although not overly heavy. There is a touch of welcome bitter char that reigns the dram in before it can become too sweet, providing excellent balance.

My favorite affordable scotch. Almost as good as Macallan 12 Sherry Oak...But a little cheaper.
Smooth, sweet and very very morish. Speyside single malts never seem to disappoint. Cracking whisky.
A stunning scent and taste reminiscent of cream cake with a thick layer of vanilla icing, served on an oaken plate, garnished with just a few traces of raisin. Did not register as strong a whiff of cinnamon as I have read, but certainly a perfectly balanced and pleasantly sweet cake of a whisky. 10/10 would recommend.
It just never dissapoints!
Wow, I love this scotch, tried the 12 year speyside single malt! My sis thinks the Balvenie is the best, but I prefer this....it is a bit sweeter than most scotch I have tried, but not overly sweet. The gal at my fave liquour store recommended it and said MANY folks have come back and bought more. Try it, it a lovely blend w/ a great smell as well. The best whiskey DOES come from Scotland!! Here’s to you, Jamie Fraser! Love that you use eco-friendly packaging! Thanks!
