Customer Rating

Made to a family recipe created more than 100 years ago, Cocchi's rich, intense, well-rounded flavour sets it apart from the competition. With enticing notes of red fruits and orange, this is a versatile vermouth that is delicious served on its own with ice, but also makes a great base for a range of cocktails, including a Manhattan, Martinez or Negroni.

Cocchi Vermouth di Torino Reviews

Tasting Notes

  • Tasting Notes by Stuart P

    • Nose:

Rich, inviting nose of red-berry fruits and rose petals along with candied orange peel and bitter cherries.

    • Palate:

Cherry menthol notes and stewed raspberries, orange peel and a subtle, savoury herbaceous note. Rich, mouthfilling texture; the refreshing bittersweet character tempts you to take another sip.

    • Finish:

Very clean and refreshing, with the fruit and herbs intermingling beautifully.

    • Comment:

What sets this vermouth apart is the whistle-clean fruitiness, with no harshness. Pitch-perfect balance between bitterness and sweetness.

  • Producer's Notes

    • This is a remarkably complex aperitif wine.

On the nose you immediately find aromas of singed orange peel, vanilla and caramel. Over time, faint menthol notes develop into aromas reminiscent of dandelion and burdock.

This vermouth is very full flavoured, the palate immediately detecting a bitter, earthy character which is very well balanced against the sweeter notes of liquorice, orange zest and sugar.

A very bold, long finish, with the bitter/sweet balance staying with you to the end.

This is an incredibly well-balanced, delicious vermouth. I like to enjoy while cooking and before dinner for guests as an apertif. Rocks and an orange twist - simple, easy, sophisticated - phenomenal. Get some!!

The relaunch of Italy's most famous spirit recipe! Authentic proof of a new generation of cocktails.

Delicious! Wonderful on it's own (over ice, with a twist of orange is especially good), but makes an excellent Negroni or Manhattan.

A gorgeous vermouth. A Manhattan with Torino and Pikesville Rye has dimension that no other combination can touch. Experiment with ratios; this is not your standard vermouth. Cocchi Americano also highly recommended.

Completely delicious. I can no longer order a Manhattan in a bar or restaurant unless they have Cocchi. The orange, cherry and vanilla notes are perfectly nuanced. Can't recommend this more highly.

My favourite vermouth! Of course, it's taste but the mix is just right for me. It is much more complex than a Martini Rosso (a good place to start tasting vermouth). I'm not keen on Antica, or Q. Royal which most higher end bars offer, the herbs overwhelm me. And this is just right. My second choice is the German Belthazar which has a tad too much brandy taste (their intention) though still delicious.

Flavorful and smooth, not too sweet. Marries with rye in a Manhattan better than any other I've tried. Between this and the Americano, Cocchi has come onto my radar in a smashing way. Pure quality.

Amazing aperitif, just add a slice of lemon and ice. Makes the best Negroni. Sensational product.

Iam sipping this stuff right now and next up I'll be asking for a Martinez with it. Awesome.
