It's the worst ever. Think I bought it in 2011 and could not get past the first sip. It gets brought out when everything else is gone – maybe now getting past the first inch in late 2018.
I usually don't drink blended scotch, only single malts, until now - Artist's Blend has a great velvety/buttery feel with immediate vanilla and almond notes. Light and floral finish. It significantly improves after about 15-20 minutes in the glass; doesn't need much water. Great for just enjoying on it's own - I wouldn't waste it in a cocktail. GREAT value whisky, $-to-ounce this is the best blended scotch i've had.
I normally drink Aberfeldy 12 or Gendulan 12 single malts at about 50-63$ a bottle. This is in the middle I`m not sure I don`t like it better. I prefer my scotch strait, room temperature is fine, but very cold in summer is better. This stuff is great when kept in the freezer, and sipped slowly as it warms up. The best blended scotch I have tried yet by far. Teachers is now 2nd place to me, I prefer the sweeter port barrel scotchs, this is not as creamy as the Teachers though.
Wonderful blended whisky at a great price. Creamy vanilla palate offers a great mouth feel. This blend will appeal to single malt anoraks. I'll have a bottle on hand at all times for when I just want to relax and have a nice, uncomplicated dram.
Beautiful whisky!!! I LOVE compass box!! Notes of candy floss, popcorn and an awesome texture! The only bad thing if anything is the 50cl bottle... but aside from that this is a must have whisky! :D
