Product Description
A Mauritian rum blended with vanilla and named after the rare Pink Pigeon - another native of Mauritius, brought close to extinction in the 90s but now flapping around again in much healthier numbers. I bought a bottle a couple years ago and wish I'd bought more. This rum is very tasty made with Madagascar vanilla beans and locally sourced spices. I only wish I could find this here in the United States
I'm not sure if I had a bad bottle of this when looking at some of the other reviews or if some people just have no idea around what a quality rum should taste like. This is without a doubt one of the worst rums I have ever had the misfortune to taste. From the moment I opened the bottle I was overpowered by artificial chemical fumes which battled through every mixer that I added to the rum. I ended up throwing it down the sink instead of drinking it. Save your money
Surprisingly pleasant spiced rum, with unusual floral notes I enjoyed it best neat no ice, certainly very different to rums produced elsewhere, very pleasant very sweet rum best savoured in small doses as I suspect some may find it a little sickly. Definitely worth trying
this was a birthday present and wasnt exspecting much due to the vanila. very suprised and very enjoyable. sweet and tastest like an old sailer jerrys. great for cocktails and if you like a dark and stormy
I was looking for something similar to old style sailor jerry. This is definitely up there with that. A bit too sweet for my liking, I prefer Old J for vanilla flavoured rums but a decent rum none the less
