The Speyside representative of the Classic Malts series is rich and spicy, with a very satisfying complexity and well-sherried backbone.Tasting Notes (2)
Tasting Notes by Stuart P
An aromatic blast of citrus to begin with – orange and lemon oil – then soft aromas of toffee, roasted almonds and malted biscuits follow. Very clean and appetising, with a gentle floral character.
The fresh citrus notes continue on to the palate, joined by sweet toffee, malt and oat biscuits. Very clean and refreshing.
The gentle maltiness fades lightly.
A wonderful aperitif, this is subtle and moreish. A delight.
Producer's Tasting Notes
A combination of sweet floral fragrances, riverside herbs and flowers with some honey and vanilla.
Firm, rounded, light to medium.
A strong malty taste with hints of sweet wood smoke and sandalwood.
A long, malt-driven finish with light smoke and hints of sweetness.

Typical floral/honeyed Speysider.Nothing stands out to give it a wow factor.Easily drinkable but it wouldn't be my first weapon of choice.2.75/3
Very smooth taste. My wife who is a non whiskey drinker likes it. No smokiness but a lovely rich finish.
Really tasty whiskey. Would definitely recommend.
Needed something to warm away a cold while visiting Edinburgh last year so I popped into a small shop and this was suggested over my usual choice of a single malt. My cold was magnificently soothed and I had a new favourite sipper. How I am desperately disappointed not to be able to find it back home here in Ontario, Canada.
A really nice Malt that is easy to drink with a dash of water.
