    Sitting here with a dram of the Ben Nevis Macdonalds and enjoying the moment. Bought this at the Ben Nevis distillary when we visited last autumn 2022. Sadly looking as the level in the bottle goes down I'm now looking online for another bottle (or 2). Perhaps the sweetest whisky I've ever tasted.

    Almost finished this now and it has been a treat from start to finish.Excellent piece of work for a NAS.Then again, Ben Nevis don't do bad whiskies.This is not too far behind the peerless 10yo and I'm just about to purchase another to fill the soon to be gap on the shelf.4.25/5

    Medium body, delicate but recognizable smoke. Excellent choice!

    Really very good. If you don't like peat, stay away. This is a lovely bright, lemony, briney dram that has nice rounded edges that recall vanilla custard. It's really quite similar to Lagavulin 8, if you happen to have tried that (which incidentally is my favourite whisky full stop). It's not incredibly complex and the finish is medium, it being 46%, but an enjoyable drop nonetheless.
