Product Description

A half bottle of Peter Dawson Special Blended Scotch Whisky from the 1980s – an well-priced introduction to how blends tasted a few decades ago. Peter Dawson owned Auchnagie distillery and built Towiemore, both now lost, and also bottled whisky from Ord up until the 1980s. In the 1920s, the company joined the Distillers Company Ltd and became the name behind a selection of blended whiskies, including this Peter Dawson Special.

This is an extremely beautiful whiskey. I cannot recommend it enough. I have sat here and thoroughly enjoyed this. So,So, smooth! I love Jamesons for its smoothness, but this for sure may be my new favourite.

Used to drink Peter Dawson Scotch whenever I could find it! Was similar in taste to Chivas!

Possibly (?) best known as the Scotch most drunk by Simon Templar in "The Saint" books (which is why I bought one). Very drinkable, but not off in any modest direction towards distinctive (although many expensive Scotches go too far that way IMHO, 15yo Laphroaig is as far as I go towards "distinctive" and still be happy)... I'll probably buy another bottle though, to go with the white jacket and hatred of people who screw other people over... although I seem to be lacking in femme fatales just at the present!!??!! 4* rating based on ST connection, 3* otherwise, 2* if you like really distinctive scotches. Oh and many thanks to The Whiskey Exchange for having this...

Peter Dawson Scotch was sold in Newfoundland back in the Eighties. It only came in 375 ml flasks. It reminded me a lot of Black And White. Very little peat. Softer than Bell's.
