I live in USA and just tried this one at 43% as sold here. I think it is an excellent malt and plan to pick up another bottle. An almost unknown scotch over here. Nice texture and fruity with or without water but only a tiny drop of water. I am sure the 40% ABV is just as good.

Beautifully taste nice first starter

Hate to say it but this is a fantastic dram, for me drinks and tastes above the 40% abv. This is rather good, but don't tell anyone.
-
Quite simply, this is one of the best 12yo single malts around these days and, for the price, just can't be beaten. Yes, it's only 40% and isn't nonchillfitered and had colour added but it still tastes really good - and for round about £30 a bottle is great value.

Oh man… I was so surprised. My expectations were much lower. This basically reminds me more calmer sister of Clynelish 14. It has super light character of Speyside with malt flavour but the typical Highland fullness and its addictive character almost like fluffiness in you mouth, just like Clynelish, Old Pultney or Illicit Still have.
