Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes
Tasting notes by Billy A
Nose
Lemon cheesecake, (yellow) Jelly Babies, butterscotch, barley, butter and cinnamon.
Palate
Lots of grain, starting sweet and slowly turning spicy and gently sour. With that comes buttered toast, layered with grape jam, nutmeg, clove, lemon zest and fruit gums, with spicy liquorice root sat at the back.
Finish
Apple skin turning sweeter, through fresh apple to stewed and spicy compote. It ends at Jolly Ranchers, with a touch of spicy rye bread.
Comment
Classically fruity pot-still whiskey, with some grape-sweetness behind the more tropical and orchard fruits. Well-balanced spice and citrus notes.
Tasting Notes by Stuart P
Nose
Pronounced aromas of fruit, barley and toffee – this isn’t shy.
Palate
Well-balanced notes of juicy, appley fruit and sweet grains and barley, seasoned with toast and spice. Very appealing and very easy to drink.
Finish
The sweet spice persists after the soft fruit disappears.
From The Producer
Nose
Mown hay and cracked black pepper. Red bell peppers, nutmeg, clove oil and green tea. Sweet honey & peaches from the Malaga casks
Palate
Honey sweetness with pot still spices. Flavours of fresh coffee, creamy milk chocolate and Crème Brûlée. Notes of red apples and toasted oak. Its finish is sophisticated and complex with a sweetness throughout, followed by a mix of red grape and dry barley upon exit

Spectacular whiskey from Ireland. They have really upped their game. Very smooth and has excellent aromas.
Amazing whiskey. Similar to have neat better than XO cognac with a good cup of coffee
Buttery smooth with a subtle bite. Really enjoying this Father's Day gift.
beautifully balanced with an impressive fruitiness, so smooth that adding water would be to discredit the distiller's efforts in producing an exemplary pot still whiskey!
Excellent Irish whiskey - smooth and with lots of pot still character. Definitely one to keep in any Irish whiskey library. Hard to find fault with any of the 'spot' whiskies. Hopefully we won't have to wait too much longer for a Blue Spot.
