Product Description
Dalwhinnie 15yo is a good introduction to the delights of single malt whisky – elegant, smooth and medium-bodied, with a light, fruity palate and a whiff of heather on the finish. Part of Diageo's Classic Malt range.

Tasting Notes by Stuart P
-
Nose
Clean and fresh, with heather honey, pears, a touch of toffee and a soft floral note.
-
Palate
Bright and fruity, but also rich, with notes of steamed syrup pudding and sponge cake, with a little cinnamon and nutmeg.
-
Finish
Just enough spice to match the fruit. Lovely balance.

Along with Cragganmore, this is one of the underrated members of the original Classic Six. Quite why has always slightly baffled me. OK, it isn't smokey, but the nose has a deep, soft, honeyed sweetness: think caramelized fruits, hints of thick cream, and a light touch of fennel and sharp citrus. Thick in the centre and very gentle, it's that chunkiness in the middle that is the secret to its beauty.

It's an all time superb single malt whisky.

One of my favorites
-
There is no such thing has a bad whisky, just different if made well. Dalwhinnie is very smooth but when compared to teachers blended scotch whisky , teachers has the edge on flavor and price both being a smooth whisky. My son bought me Dalwinnie for my birthday 24th December . Which i enjoyed but for the price , teachers would have been just as good if not had the edge. I with politeness advise the producers to look at their product and add some thing or use better barrels . The king is in the all together. Advice is a gift , if listened too. HAPPY NEW YEAR . CHEERS.
