With components ranging from very old grain from the company's Girvan distillery through to rich and smoky drams this is a well-balanced and suitable pinnacle to the Grant's range.

Nose
Waxed fruit, sweet apples, peach, Fruit Salad chews, tropical fruit sweets, pears, light spice, sweet pastry, musty fruit, pungent honey, sugared raisins, touches of glue, nuts and a little bit of window putty.
Palate
Soft and oily with light black pepper, dried apple rings, hints of liquorice, orange peel, cinnamon and generally spicy wood.
Finish
Spicy oak, sour apple and perfumed wood, maybe sandalwood.

Very good but not amazing. Touch too much grain on the nose and lacks the depth I would expect at this price point. Delicious and well balanced of course, but I've had better.
