This is my go to whisk(e)y when giving recommendations to newcomers or those who want good value for money. It's great value for £40 range, and it's something not found too often in the UK, where I am. I'd put it in the same category as Redbreast 12 (Irish), Glenfiddich 12/15 (Scotch) and the Nikka Coffee Malt (Japan) as good introductions to the respective regions, all in similar price points. They won't be the best you'll ever drink, but they offer very good value and decent taste at the price point.
A great bourbon, well worth the good price...
Thoroughly enjoyed this Bourbon. I now place it in my top 5 permashelf

This bourbon is almost a gift to the consumer at this price , I'm on my second bottle and it pretty much ticks every box, yes there are better for a Lot more money and also far worse but Eagle Rare just seems to exude class , style and substance over gimmicks
