A 12 year old whiskey from Zuidam, bottled under the Millstone label, the name for their Dutch single malt whisky. Matured for 12 years in sherry casks, this is one of Zuidam's first whiskies that takes on the Scots on their home turf.

    Tried this last night at your "Barrel Top" World Whisky tasting . "Takes on The Scots" is right. I;ve always been a bit of a sherry head since the days of the old Macallans, following the trail via Glenfaclas, Abunadh, Mortlach, Glendronach Etc. But this hit the spot , possibly the star among stars of world whiskies last night. Certainly the most memorable. From the first nose hit of maple syrup through to the finale of dark brown dugar, with all you'd expect from a rich and leathery Oloroso matured dram, I was stunned. Shame About The price...not very flush at the moment, Otherwise your shelves would be one bottle lighter - this one!
