Producer's NoteBuilt in 1820 by a family farming the rich Angus soils around Brechin, the distillery was bought by DCL in 1922 and dismantled in 1983. It is rarely encountered as a single. This cask has imparted little colour, but an extraordinary aroma and even flavour of tangerines. The first impression (unreduced) is of vanilla ice cream; only when water is added do the tangerines start-zest and pith, then burnt peel. A perfect Christmas malt, by association of smells.
