A bottle of Old Poulteney WK209 'Good Hope' launched in March 2011 for the travel retail sector. The whisky is named after the first steam herring drifter boat in Wick Harbour to use echo sounder, the Good Hope, which carried fleet number WK209.

    Colour: Dark copper with bronze highlights

    Nose: Smooth and spicy with aromas of toffee and chocolate; traces of hazelnut and vanilla

    Taste: Sweet to start with hints of citrus notes; full bodied with overtones of raisins, chocolate and warm spices leading to long lasting finish

    An interesting "dirty" combined taste of Cask, sherry & sulphuriness, the sea. A heavy whisky with a satisfying depth - big taste & interesting deep colour.
