Longrow Red Reviews
Nose: A Peaty beginning gives way to smoked cheese and oatcakes with a hint of
Palate: The strong influence of peat marries well with red wine tannins. A mixture of
dried summer fruits with a subtle peach undertone provides a refreshing, balanced
Finish: Classic Longrow burst of peat smoke, followed by a pleasant dry oak finish.

Unbelievable bold whisky. Definitely for single malt scotch connoisseurs. Great start, unbelievable finish, and a savory middle.
I'm afraid I don't like this. It’s one of my favourite distilleries, and I've tried many great offerings from both Longrow and Springbank over the years. I try to be "a man" when it comes to cask strength whiskies, and took the first couple of drams of this neat. It blew my head off. Diluting it removes the fire, but you're left with something that is drinkable but a bit flat in comparison with many of their other offerings. It's subjective though, and others may love it.
