Suze Saveur D'Autrefois100cl / 20%
A litre bottle of Suze Saveur D'Autrefois, a spicy, fruity aperitif made in the Thuir region of southern France since 1889. Made using wild yellow gentian from Auvergne, this is a secret ingredient of many an American bartender. Try it over ice, with tonic or add a splash to your martini.

Mixed with tonic this is a very refreshing aperitif. A good alternative to a gin and tonic. Gentian root based spirits tend to be an acquired taste. This bright yellow drink gets better the more you drink it, once you develop the flavour for it you'll love it! I always make sure I have enough in stock!
This is a nice aperitif (it is NOT a liqueur – ignore the description on the Whisky Exchange website!), very like the original Suze, but slightly more alcoholic (20% vs 15%). It has a slightly more intense, fruity taste, but is still overwhelmingly gentian. It's a nice drink and will almost certainly please anyone who likes basic Suze. I particularly enjoyed it mixed with tonic or sparkling water.
Very unique, herbal flavour! Might not be for everyone. Great in a Negroni Bianca!
