Top 5 rums I've ever had and I've had a lot of rums. Taste profile is strong and oaky

Yes, very disappointing it was harsh it has a thin taste profile and after that all you taste is alcohol. Not worth the $ I spent
Tried this again after a while and would just say that at the time I wrote the review above that was my view, but now I love this rum. The taste is very complex, but fantastic, when I leave this rum to sit for a while the taste totally changes and is so smooth.
A huge fan of XM as I use to get it sent from Guyana in plastic bottles, tried this for the first time and was slightly disappointed (only slightly) but I do prefer the 10 or 12 year old. It is smooth but leaves a real burnt sugar taste in your mouth, which I don't like but others will. Still a great rum just not for me, will have to stick to the younger 12,10 or 7 which are superb rums.
