I still have 2 bottles left in my collection of this very one. Very tempting to open but will hold off a little while longer I think.
A surprisingly sweet and fruity Lowland single malt. Clearly superior to the rather weak regular 12yo, which I disliked. The sherry finish makes this Distillers Edition most pleasant to drink and much closer to some Speysiders in taste, although there's still some of that Glenkinchie grassiness left in the finish. Still not quite my kind of whisky, but as mentioned before goes indeed very well with Christmas sweets. 7 out of 10
A lovely dram. Especially know when it's getting colder and christmas is just around the corner. This is perfect along with some gingerbread with honey or cinnamon roll because the sweet flavours.
The sophistictaion of a Glenkinchie with the depth and power of Talisker. Stunning, quite stunning!
Great nose and so much taste. And a surprisingly long finish as well. This is a really good dram.
