Nose
Rich fruit cake to start with developing notes of baking spice: nutmeg, clove and spicy cinnamon. The fruit intensifies, with layers of raisin jam and sticky dates slowly building. Expressed orange peel and orange-and-toffee sauce are dropped on top.

Palate
Thick on the palate with layers of fruit and spice: raisins and cinnamon, baked apples and nutmeg, and dates and black pepper. Toffee sweetness pushes in around the edges, accompanied by candied orange peel, cinnamon cookies and leafy hints of tarragon and mint.
