Bonfire night: aromas of oozing toasted marshmallows, and baked apples studded with cloves, with the tang of sulphury, cordite lingering in the background.
To the taste this 13 year old Craigellachie delivers malty, sweet complexity, with a finish that is slightly smokey.

Was so disappointed with this.It had been on my hitlist for ages and lo and behold I got a free sample.I know it's not a good premis for an opinion but it has made me pause and reflect.So many more out there to try!2.75/5

Pour a fat dram, add a drop of water, and just leave it alone for a while. Let the matchstick subside (I love wormtubs!) with a rest in the glass. Enjoy. This whisky is fabulous.
