Product Description
A dense, heavily sherried and rich dram from the Highland distillery, now producing again after a six-year layoff, matured in a combination of oloroso and Pedro Ximenez casks. With its bold profile, full of spice and sweetness, it's a malt best suited to after-dinner sipping.
This was one of the first whiskies that made me go ‘Wow!’ and spurred me on to explore more of the world of sherry cask whisky. It’s oily on the palate, full of rich sherry sweetness and has a backdrop of warming spice. A great choice if you’re seeking an indulgent but affordable dram. Emma Lomax, The Whisky Exchange

Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes by Billy A
Nose
Sweet, rich and spicy fruit, with sugared lemons and limes, granny smith apples, honey and caramel.
Palate
Toffee sweetness, apples, a hint of vanilla and a rich dark fruit background. Water lightens things with more orchard fruit, but without diminishing the richness of the dark fruit hiding underneath.
Finish
Dusty wood, raisins and sweet fruit leaves.
Comments
A solid sherried whisky sitting at the bottom of the Glendronach range but punching above well above its price-point.

A lovely whisky, with those notes of vanilla, honey and rich spicy fruit. This is now my favourite dram.
Excellent
As a bourbon drinker who's not a huge fan of Scotch, this is one of the two I actually like a lot - It's like a sweet, spicy bourbon to me. It's also one of only two brands I know of that don't scam customers by adding caramel color (the other being Macallan). Until the other major distilleries follow their examples, it's hard for me to take Scotch seriously.
It's true...was a great single malt but changed... became flat not so rich sherry used to be... Another drink that loses its original delicious taste.(Macallan ,Lagavulin,Bowmore...)
I’ve drank a couple of bottle over the last year and I was my favourite dram. I ran out so bought another couple of bottles. Unfortunately the flavour has changed. It doesn’t have the rich sherry flavour and there is a lot more burn. Most disappointing. Two stars awarded where last years bottle would be five.
