Casamigos Blanco Tequila is made through a detailed process in which the agave is roasted for 10 times longer than usual and fermented for twice as long. After distillation, the Tequila is rested for two months, which tempers the spirit, resulting in fresh notes of lemon, grapefruit and marshmallows, complemented by hints of agave, green peppers, and wildflowers.

Casamigos was created by George Clooney and his friends Rande Gerber and Mike Meldman, who wanted a refreshing Tequila they could enjoy during long evenings in Jalisco. The first batches of Casamigos – which translates to ‘house of friends’ – were never intended to be shared beyond this small circle, but as time went on the three creators decided that they had to share their Tequila with the world. Casamigos has since become renowned globally for its crisp and elegant character.

Casamigos Blanco uses 100% hand-selected Blue Weber agaves, grown in the rich clay soils of Jalisco, Mexico. Roasted in traditional brick ovens, the long fermentation that follows results in a delightful citrus character, making it an ideal pairing with Fever-Tree’s Pink Grapefruit Soda in a Paloma cocktail.
Paloma Recipe
- 50ml - Casamigos Blanco Tequila
- A squeeze of fresh lime juice
- A pinch of sea salt
- Top up with Fever-Tree Pink Grapefruit Soda
- Garnish: grapefruit slice
Pour the lime juice and Tequila into a highball glass along with a pinch of salt. Add ice and top up with Fever-Tree Pink Grapefruit Soda. Garnish with a slice of grapefruit.

A few years back my wife & I were at a wedding in Mexico, after-which, we strayed away into town (by taxi cab) on a tequila tasting pilgrimage. The cabbie knew all the local shops (he got a large tip). Six hours later and a suitcase full of expensive bottles, we were faced with a sobering question of how to get the booze back to America. (this will not to be told at the moment as I may need a lawyer). As for the Casamigos Blanco, (blanco not being my favorite in tequila), my wife recently bought it, I tried it and yes! It is what they say it is. I drank it straight from the bottle into a sipping glass, room temperature. Very clean - no burn - lots of residual flavors come through that might be lost in the oak barrels of an Anejo. It is worth the money.
This is not super smooth. Flavourful but hard at the end. A lot of heat at room temperature, calms down a tiny bit if you have it frozen with ice. Definitely not sipping tequila.

Its fab, the most authentic tequila I've ever had in the UK.
