A companion to the much-loved bourbon-cask-matured Nadurra, the Nadurra Oloroso is a cask-strength Glenlivet that has been solely matured in first-fill oloroso sherry casks. The result is a full-bodied, heavily sherried dram that still shows the elegance that you find at the core of Glenlivet's spirit.Tasting Notes (1)
- Dark Chocolate
- Dried Fruit
Tasting notes by Billy A
Rich and heavy fruit and spice, right off the bat: dried mixed fruit, prunes, cherries and fruit jellies. Rich marzipan and sticky black liquorice appear behind that, along with a rich earthiness and menthol. As Alan Winchester admits, there is a hint of sulphur, making itself known with a rubbery edge, but it’s controlled and merely adds weight.
Softer than suggested by the nose, with barrel-char edges and spicy, stewed apple initially. It develops heavier notes, with rum ‘n’ raisin fudge, liquorice, woody spice (cinnamon and nutmeg) and dark chocolate. Spiced butter pastry and raisins sit beside the other flavours, giving a sweet Eccles cake hit.
Liquorice, dark chocolate, raisins, mint and pine hints, and lingering bitter char, with apple skin and brown sugar.

Smooth, good finish , strong after note
Beautiful product. I love the pale colour (no caramel), the lack of chill-filtration and the smokiness. It reminds me of discovering Islay whiskies in my youth. Shame no age statement but great flavours. Bold, rounded yet probably quite young. Spelling should be "n?darra", being the Gaelic for natural but hey-ho at least they tried.
You definitely pick up that chocolate, and I get a lot of sugar cane off of this whisky. The most disappointing thing is that I purchased 1 bottle instead of 2. I would highly recommend this bottle, but you may want to be selfish and put it away behind the other bottles for yourself. Highly recommended.
It''s perfectly balanced I love it
I was a malt whisky Virgin so this sweet dram was the perfect introduction for me. Beautifully smooth, I loved it ??
