The opening salvo of the Glenlivet range, named in honour of the distillery's founder, George Smith. It's classic Glenlivet, with a creamy and fruity character bolstered by the use of first-fill American oak to mature some of the whisky.Tasting Notes (2)
Tasting notes by Stuart P
Very clean and fresh, with notes of grass, freshly cut apples and pear drops, enriched by a rich toffee character. Slight floral note, with menthol and custard-tart notes.
The gentle fruitiness continues on to the palate, with pear the dominant note, accompanied by a refreshing mintiness. Very soft texture and mouthfeel with no rough edges. Easy to drink.
Soft, fruity and whistle-clean.
Producer's Tasting Notes
Delicate aromas of citrus fruit, notably sweet orange.
Sweet, fruit notes of zesty oranges and pears, with a hint of candy, toffee apples. Well-balanced and exceptionally smooth.
Long, creamy and smooth.

After trying a miniature of this I asked for this as a birthday present and am loving it. My palette isn't trained enough to pick up on most of the tasters' impressions but when the producer says "creamy & smooth", that sums it up. No harshness, just sip it and enjoy. An absolute bargain.
I’ve heard negative reviews about this whisky and thus felt this whisky was also a bad whisky... till I sat down and tried it, the flavor profile I spot on with the flavor on the whisky (which I find usually to be more pretentious than accurate.) and for the price you can only knit pick for the “negatives.” So in short I liked it a bit rough at the finish but the flavor covers for that I’d recommend this whisky for someone looking to discover the world of whisky and wants to actually taste what it says on the back of the bottle(don’t forget to add your own opinion along with it cuz at the end of the day that’s what counts :-)
This is an enjoyable, very drinkable Scotch. I don't get any harshness, it seems smooth and light to me, with a pleasant nose. I only give it 4 stars because, really, how many perfect things are there?
Not to my liking, bottle remains unfinished. I cant put my gfinger on it but it leaves a strange after tatse on the palette that really puts me off it.
Very nice whisky , reminded me of dragée candy and nice vanilla with green apple and silage .
