A 2015 addition to the Tamdhu family, Batch Strength is a high-strength bottling aged exclusively in sherry casks. A large proportion of the oak – both European and American – is first-fill. Rich, spicy and fruity.

Powerful burst of richness, fantastically rounded with sherry oak, spice and dry fruit. Kept on the palate, lighter fruits come to the fore- apricot, orange and crème brûlée.

Possibly the best non-age statement malt I have ever tasted. Nutty sweet without typical "sherry-bomb" over the top cloying sweetness. Soft rich palate with absolutely no young-malt spirit finish.

Almost....I enjoyed my firsttastingof thos and it os most of what the previius reviewersugests....however,on purchasing bottle (toicontuinue my researches at home)....I am fairly sure I detect caramel ( cr?me brulee?) which seems backed-up by the term ''''natural colour'' on the label........It would be really nice to try some WITHOUT the addition of ''''additives'''' as it may thus appeal to the more experienced palate ,rather than falling prey to the modern''''sales and marketing'''' paradigm which seems to be undermining too many formerly decent drams........ Maturing in good sherry casks should be adequate........

Great dram. Sweet and oaky, lots of fruitiness combined with vanilla creaminess. A drop of water just makes it better. Totally recommendable
