A sumptuous single pot still whiskey with a great degree of ageing, Redbreast 15 is richer, earthier and stronger than its 12 year old sibling. An essential part of any whiskey-drinker's education.Tasting Notes (2)
- Black Pepper
Tasting Notes by Stuart P
Aromas of fruit compote, cinnamon and clove. Good clean streak running through it, but the rich spiciness dominates.
A touch drier than expected, with austere peppery spice making its presence felt, but sweetened up with spicy oak and fresh apple and mango.
Dry, peppery, spicy.
Tasting Notes by Robin Laing, World Whiskies Awards 2012
Deep dark honey, marzipan, caramel and fudge balance. Sandalwood, mango, wood and tea bags - rich and aromatic. Palate is amazing! Liquorice Allsorts, sugarcoated fennel seeds, crystallised ginger, sweet cinnamon, sherry, children's cough medicine and toffees.

Excellent product & prompt delivery
Like the 12-year-old, but with some extra zip and nuance.
RB 15 is real treat!!! More sweetness and strength than it’s younger 12 sibling. Will certainly keep a bottle in my cabinet for special occasions or when I need a taste of something really delicious.
Redbreast is a very good whiskey and one of the bests in its style, Single Pot Still Irish Whisky. This is a different style and also very good indeed as any other style of good whisky(ey) in the world. I have experienced the 12, 15 and CS, they are all very good, but I prefer the 15 because is the sweetest one. Due to unmalted barley influence and the proccess itself, all they have a common characteristic in their taste, and some of them are very delicious like Jameson 12 (Blended made with Pot Still content), Power's, Greenspot, etc. An other style of Irish whiskey I like very much too and is also one of my favourites is Bushmills 21.
