    I have a few "better" whiskeys in the cabinet, but none are as pleasant and smooth as this one. Others might be more complex, but cardhu gold reserve is a little too easy to keep refilling the glass. There's no smokiness or peat taste, just a lovely warming sweet whiskey. I highly recommend it unless youre a real whiskey snob

    I'm drinking it now and it's a refined, pleasant tipple. It's said to be on the sweet side and maybe that's true but no more than most of the whiskeys and Bourbons I've been drinking. Some have said 'easy drinking', this could be a slur, in that wines that are so dubbed are difficult drinking for me being without character but this has a good character; it is one of the very fine single malts of Scotland.
