100° Proof is a punchy Islay single malt from Port Askaig. With notes of sweet fruit, peat smoke and minerality, this is a benchmark Islay whisky and a great everyday peaty dram at this price.Tasting Notes (2)
Excellent young sweet peat. Extremely simple, very good. Serge Valentin, whiskyfun.com

Rich with meaty smoke, burning logs, sea spray and rock pools.
Milky coffee and milk chocolate follow stony minerality. Cinnamon spice and stewed apple develop.
Sweet, spicy and very long – cinnamon and chocolate.
Producer's Tasting Notes
Rich, with a meaty smokiness that belies its light colour. Freshly cooked ham and burning logs are joined by a soft coastal character of sea spray and stony rock pools.
Sharp and stony initially, with an intense minerality that quickly becomes sweet and rich – milky coffee, milk chocolate and spicy cinnamon gobstoppers. The spice grows, adding liquorice and stewed apple with cinnamon, along with heavy charcoal smoke.
Sweet, spicy and very long. Cinnamon-spiced chocolate slowly fades to drying apple skin.
More powerful than you might expect, with carefully balanced smoke and fruit.

Oh man. This never gets old. I have enjoyed this from the first sip and I'm on my 3rd bottle....in one day....just kidding....cinnamon, gingerbread, icing sugar and punch in the face from the sweet peat that still let's the fruit and spice through. Cannot get enough of this.
Amazing whisky! Nothing better than a flavoursome smokey drink. If anyone likes smokey whiskies like talisker this is great. Definitely has that extra kick, but whisky is meant to savoured and drank sparingly.
Yes. Good value for a Cask Strength Islay Malt. Pleasantly peaty. Made a good "Blood & Sand".
It nearly blew my head off but went very well with water.
Received today, the 22 nd December bang on time. This a rare and fine expression of a real palate pleaser! Complex but easy going. I always enjoy high quality malts but I also enjoy the more accessible day to day blends. Askaig is to my taste. Enough said. If you continue to produce this quality gem I shall keep buying it.
