Customer Rating

Originally launched as a limited-edition travel-retail exclusive, Jack Daniel's No.27 Gold gained a wider release in Autumn 2015. Initially matured in virgin American white oak casks, it's been finished in maple-wood barrels and twice filtered though maple-wood charcoal, it's rich with extra notes of maple.

I discovered this on my travels and I was immediately sold. The taste is smooth and rich and it makes some of the older smoother whiskies taste almost too strong. A must-have!

I received a bottle as a gift. I drink it neat, it's fantastic. Extremely smooth, great flavor. I love Bourbon and actually like this better than any other whiskey I have ever had ! It's the best.

Extremley dissapointed. I'm a massive JD fan, my favourites being Gentleman Jack, and the Honey. This however is totally over powering, and no where near as smooth as Gentleman or Single Barrel. On the plus side, the bottle is nice.

Received a bottle of the from the girlfriend on Valentine's Day 2014 or 2015. Never opened it as i didn't know how limited this release, so 3/4 years later i managed to get another bottle, and its same to same i am fairly disappointed, it isn't as smooth as Gentleman Jack or Single Barrel, I personally can't taste hints of maple or oak and think it tastes quite bland, if you were doing a blind taste test of whiskies you wouldn't know that this was Jack Daniels, maybe waiting nearly 4 years before getting to try amplified my hype for it, despite like most JD products, being slightly overpriced if you want a decent Daniel's go for Single Barrel

Not my favorite, Jack Daniel's. While it has a good flavor it isn't as smooth as a Jack #2 or the complexity of a single barrel or Sinatra. It left me wishing for something more?

Fantastic company right here. I was hesitant using this company for the first time. Turns out I was worried over nothing. They got 2 bottles of impossible to find here (Wisconsin) Jack Daniels in no time flat. Packaging was done so well it was almost difficult for me to open. I highly suggest using them for that hard to find gift. Haven't opened the bottle yet. Just wanted to praise the company for a job well done. Hmmmm time to start looking for my next purchase.

I picked up a bottle at the distillery after having a taste test of five of their special versions as part of the tour. I liked this better than Gentleman Jack or the Single Barrels. Was told the only place this could be purchased in the states was right there at the distillery. Now wish I had purchased another bottle or two.

Fantastic...I love JD Silver Select but this is a considerable step above. It was given to me by a friend who is on the board of JD and he said it was 'special,' he lied..it's 'extra special'

Delicious Jack Daniels variant. A syrupy, charcoal mellowed whiskey with very nutty wood overtones. Like a smoother, more complex gentleman jack.

My wife brought me back a bottle of no27 gold. Omg. Smooth woody and just slides down. Warms your body as it goes down.

Stunning - one of the very best Jack Daniel's editions. Single Barrel is great but this Gold Double Barrel is another level. The only problem is that it's so smooth and goes down so easily, it's hard to drink it sparingly.
