Smooth like water. Very rich and full-bodied. Can taste the wood from the casks. I miss it. If I won lottery in USA I would buy the rights to the name – in 1990s it was around $30 for 1 liter bottle

Yes, and i fell in love with this whisky from the first drop. Foun it first time at Schipool Airport, an bought my last bottles in Aberdeen. I have only one bottle left (only 0,7 ltr.), which I planned to serve on my 60th birthday, later on my 65th, 70th and 75th birthday this year. But it's still here waiting for the right occacion

It broke my heart to learn that Loch Dhu was no longer in production. I really liked it. This will make me seem like a Philistine, but I liked it poured on a good vanilla ice cream.

I spent my life disliking whisky until I sampled a taste of this beautiful treacle... Since that very fateful day I have become some what of a whisky connoisseur. Now 20 years or so later I still long for the taste of this beautiful black magic!
