A richly spiced spirit made by combining Matugga rum with black tea, ginger and honey. The distinctive flavours of masala chai works fantastically in a simple highball with ginger ale, ice and a wedge of lime. All the rum from this small distillery in West Lothian is made with imported African molasses, fermented and distilled on the premises. A great addition to the thriving Scottish rum scene.

    • Matugga Spiced Rum is expertly crafted through small batch copper pot distillation, and embellished with a uniquely East African spiced blend of black tea, ginger, cloves, vanilla, cardamom, and cinnamon.

      On the nose we have honey and orange blossom entwined with raisins.The palate is a flood of smooth, but warm, tangerine, liquorice and cracked black pepper, before a honeyed Christmas pudding finish.

      Enjoy neat, on ice or as the base for an outstanding cocktail.
