Distributor's Notes
Nose: Soft caramel to start, with an intense fruity sweetness sitting behind – apple jam, poached pears and maple syrup. The sweetness is tempered by cinder toffee, milk chocolate and leathery touches.
Palate: Softer than the nose suggests, but still full-flavoured. Candied peel, dulche de leche and bitter Seville orange are joined by building spiciness – cinnamon, nutmeg and sharp clove.
Finish: Layers of spice, slowly turning sweeter to become caramel-filled chocolate and stewed apple.
Comment: An expressive nose leads into a soft, caramel-laden body, with fruit and spice adding an extra dimension.

Very good bourbon. The toasting is remarkably successful, adding such rich spice that it almost feels like a rye with layers of toffee added. Almost 5 stars except it feels like it's slightly more alcoholic than the stated ABV, so minutely not balanced enough for full 5 stars.
