Product Description
Glen Grant 12 Year Old was added to the core range in 2016. The only release regularly seen in the UK was previously the 10 Year Old, so this is a welcome addition to the distillery's range. Light and fruity with notes of apple pie, caramel, vanilla and subtle spice.

This whisky is simply delicious! It seems to fly under the radar...happily.
Clean, balanced and understated but with enough layers fruits, nuts and subtle spices to keep you coming back for more. Such a wonderful find, highly recommended.
The Emperor is fully dressed, aged and mellowed. The GG12 is a fantastic 12 yo, wonderful nose and smooth and fruity on the pallet and some spice hints on palate and tail. At first try, I found it more spicy, but after time it mellows. I love it, best 12 yo in my collection (over 20+ other 12's) beyond any doubt, and only go to it sparingly on a special evening (like a Macallan 12, not same in taste but in quality). If you can get it, don't hesitate.
OK, so Jim Murray has recently had the hots for Glen Grant. And yes, it is very smooth. And yes, there is lots of baked apple pie to it. But I think this is a bit of the "emperor's new clothes", as in "If JM loves it, I'll look smart by saying I love it too". But in truth, it's smoothness is only partly that subtlety that comes from superb craftsmanship; the other part is lack of individuality and character. Good, but not as great as advertised.
