Can't say anything nice about this whisky. Bought it for a weekend as it was on offer, and it would be mixed with lots of cola. What I have learned is to leave on the shelf and select The Famous Grouse instead, which can be taken neat or with mixers. Can understand why it got heavyweight marketing. It needs it.

Don't get fooled, this is NOT a sipping whisky! It is a cheap, low-strength grain whisky with lots of sweet vanilla tones from bourbon casks, and not much else. However, it is an AMAZING component in a whisky-based cocktail! You can add any flavor you like, because Haig Club Clubman will not overshadow it - it will just mellow out the spirits and round the bitters, acids and spices of other components. Enjoy this in its right environment: In a cocktail, at a bar, with blue fluorescent light behind the counter. And you will be well awarded.

This whisky is designed for beginners, mixing and cocktails , which in fairness it does a good job of. But in my opinion this is not a sipping whisky. It tastes very raw, immature and a bit processed to me. It had a few nice flavors, grassy, little bit of vanilla and fruit, and the sweetness wasn't too offensive for me. But that is about it. I would only buy this again if I needed a mixer and I couldn't get Jack Daniels.

Amazing whisky. When this 1st came out i bought my friend a bottle and never persuade the chance too tey I've missed out for years. I'm a massive fan of whisky of any kind. If you want a whisky that you can drink all night and never get bored of this is the one for you. Amazing notes of wood vanilla subtle notes of cream and coconut leaves you wanting to pour that double over and over again out of 10/11 its that damn good. Whisky for the none whisky fan this will have you exploring your next favourite
