This is the first Irish single malt whiskey that I have ever had. I’ve had many single malt scotch whiskies and a few Irish single pot stills. I had no idea what to expect. This sort of reminds me of a single malt scotch with a little bit of that oily Irish pot still character. Very sweet and fruity with a coconut custard like creamyness to it. I tend to favor peated and/or sherry matured whisky. I also love single pot still. Even though this is something much lighter it’s not lacking in flavor and I’m enjoying it. I’m not sure if it will become part of my regular rotation, but I’m happy I tried it.
