Product Description
A titan of the whisky world, The Macallan has been crafting single malt Scotch whisky since 1824. The distillery places an emphasis on sourcing top quality casks, one of the many decisions in production process that keeps fans coming back from more. The Macallan 12 Year Old Double Cask has been matured in a combination of hand-picked American oak and ex-sherry casks. This is a rich and warming whisky that displays notes of candied citrus, caramel, spicy ginger and hints of vanilla and nutmeg.

Beautiful whiskey on its own smooth and warming ,tried with ice but made it worse and why waste something so good with a mixer , will be buying more.
I had this whisky over ice and enjoyed the fruity and slightly spicy taste. It was warming and reasonably mild in the mouth but a little harsh in the throat. It would make a lovely gift, but I wouldn't buy it for myself unless on offer.
A smooth whisky with fruity and caramel flavours. Not too harsh and great over ice. Highly recommended to try this from the Macallan range.
Light colour and thin on flavour. A bit disappointing.
Maple colour with a brandy base aroma and caramel after tones. A smooth taste within the mouth but develops a sharpness as it goes down, not uncomfortable but noticeable. No real distinct taste notes other than the hint of brandy and is very comparable to other scotch whiskies previously experienced (scotch not being my favourite). Based on this I would not buy again but would still recommend to others who enjoy scotch whiskies.
