This is my favorite whisky. No one over, no one beside and far far long from the next type.

I bought this after reading good reviews about it, but was horribly disapointed. It is NOT smooth at all, and tastes immature with a sharp aftertaste of alcohol. Maybe good in a coctail, but as such, definately pass. Made me sceptical to buy any NAS whiskey ever again.

Hey this is a well balanced scotch, very smooth and still has the smoky taste, not sure what Dag is on about but if your comparing to Jack Daniels a BOURBON then probably not much idea!!

This one grew on me the more I drank it (not in one go!) Initially very smokey with a long salty finish but I found the longer the bottle was open the less pronounced the this became. Very drinkable.

Horrible, the only young NAS ive tasted that really put me off, Im not a good fan of Bowmore, I didnt like Tempest batch 4 either, but I kinda liked their miniatur set of 12, 15 and 18.. But Black Rock is only very bad and immature whisky, it is no better than a drinkmixer and ive would gladely take a Jameson, or a Grant or a good old Jack Daniels before this Black Rock garbage. The only single malt that really let me down. I have a list of other whiskys also that put me down, but not like this.

Incredibly smoky to my taste. Excelent balance between quality and price. Just love the smoked fish to my nose and in the finish. 85/100

Nose: Dark fruit, sweet smoke (quite discreet at first nosing but becomes more assertive later). Palate: Impressively full-bodied given the 40% ABV. Not very complex and quite 'modern', with a sweet/smoky duality typical of other young-ish peaty whiskies. Other than sherry sweetness and smoke there's not a great deal going on, though there are lemony/briny notes in the background. Finish: Unexpectedly dry, on smoked fish, brine and a somewhat off-putting sweet note. This is a pleasant whisky, one I would consider buying. It is not, however, at the level of its predecessor the Bowmore Enigma, whose comparative maturity adds more depth and richness. It's a typical 80/100 whisky in my book - pleasant, delivers the expected dollop of sherry and peat, but lacks the complexity and depth to elevate it to the next level.
