Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage 2004 Reviews
Tasting Notes by Rocky
Nose: Sweet notes of toffee and caramel dominate, backed up by vanilla, cinnamon and a hint of orange peel.
Palate: Rich, mouth-coating texture. The sweet notes are quickly overtaken by spicy vanilla and cinnamon with hints of mint and clove. The two elements are knitted together by an underlying fruitiness, with notes of apple and orange.
Finish: Medium to long and drier than expected with cinnamon and vanilla.

Outstanding. For me it's better than EC 12 but this is subjective. It is a special release and I'll be buying a number of bottles.
This 2004 vintage is very woody, and very smoky, pushing it very close to the flavor profile best known in Elijah Craig’s 12 year old small batch offering and the very competitive price point on this bottle makes the Evan Williams Vintage series one of the better values in full flavoured bourbons today.
