Great drink, 2/3rds through the bottle now and it's a favorite. Lovely balance, I don't pick up a hot finish at all. Wonderful irish character, not overly complex and doesn't get dragged into overly perfumed or honeyed taste, just lovely. Agree it's nicer than green spot, at least the low end green spot ( haven't tried the other spots ). This is in my favorite 5 standard after balvennie, hp18, talisker, glengoyne

Sweet and creamy, but finishes a little hot. A decent quality young blend.

Wow! Glorious whiskey. Smooth, creamy; long legs, long finish. The Irish Pot Still character shines through and the single malt adds complexity; so much so that, for me, Writer's Tears nudges ahead of Green Spot. A very good price for a lovely whiskey. Recommended.

Very nice, well priced. Easy drinking and very sessionable. Light, refreshing, great for an evening on a patio watching the sunset or by the ocean. Some may want a little more punch/poke, but great for whisky newbs.

Fabulous whiskey from Ireland. It is a sort of malt blend although only part is from malted barley. Some pot still unmalted barley is also used - all triple distilled and beautifully blended into a really smooth and satisfying spirit. I really love this stuff despite its young age.
