Tasting Notes by The Whisky Exchange
Nose: Rich and fruity, with dry oaky spice, menthol, raisins, cigar boxes, marmalade and ashy smoke.
Palate: Spice and dark sugar syrup leading to bitter dark chocolate, caramel sauce and black pepper.
Finish: Long and smoky, with roasted coffee, ash and liquorice touches.

Strong, smoky, heavy, deep
Amazing, the depth of flavour is incredible. Rich and smoky with a hidden depth to it
very good whisky. but in my opinion doesn't hold a candle to the 98
It's okay... worth the price and certainly better than the other year releases... but, as another has written below: Lagavulin's 16 (and 12, for that matter) are finer products.
Maybe the best Lagavulin ever!
Wonderful full flavour, upto Lagavulins usual high standard
It's almost all smoke. Not bad but the standard 16 blows it out of the water.
