This is a unique product which is complemented by a plain high quality tonic to allow the extraordinary tomato flavour to move through. The aftertaste can be quite salty and unpleasant to some, however this can be reduced by either crushing the fresh basil to allow more of those flavours to infuse, or my preferred option, use a basil tonic. This eliminates the majority of the saltiness, maintains the good flavour of the gin, and transforms this drink into a light refreshing tipple (great as a pallet cleanser).
