Tasting notes by Billy Abbott (The Whisky Exchange)
Nose: Twigs, bracken and apples – a traditional cider press, packed with straw and sweet fruit. Creamy notes and pink shrimp sweets layer in on top, with hints of biscuit M&M and spun sugar.
Palate: Soft on the palate, with buttered fruit loaf sprinkled with nutmeg and studded with candied peel. Tarragon sauce and pine needles sit on top.
Finish: Melted vanilla ice cream, wafers and a hint of chocolate sauce lead to a minty core. A grind of pepper and then things fade away.
