I very genuinely prefer this to a lot of 12-yr-old offerings. It's lively and up-front: no sense of flabbiness or old-age. Tastes differ, but this is my 'house whiskey' and I prefer it to pretty much everything else under £60. YMMV.
As someone who typically prefers a sweet and cake-reminiscent Speyside whisky, this fantastic Islay dram swept my breath away (on stormy rides :p). Wonderfully complex, smooth and creamy, with interwoven tastes of dried plums or apricot and a neither-salty-nor-sweet coastal essence, spun together with a macadamia nut-like aftertaste. I am almost reminded of the top notes and base notes of a well-concocted bottle of perfume. Beautifully long finish as well. Certainly one of my favourites now!
I picked this up for my birthday at my local Morrisons...it is absolutely delicious! A great after taste...
Bunnahabhain just make the best whisky. I can't add more wonderful
One of the nicest whiskeys I’ve tasted
