I’m a fan of the original the 10 years makes a rich flavour driven by oak and Rye. Smoother finish with the fruit and vanilla opened up slightly by the 10 years. An intense expression but I really love this Whiskey. If you want vast complexity to taste and identify some exotic fruit this may not be for you. If you want an intense pretty spicey and smooth oak driven whiskey give this ago. I fell in love with this drink.
You get the impression of age straight off followed by vanilla cream and cinnamon. And a bit of Rye spice at the end Finish leaves alot to be desired in my personal opinion however For the price mark it is well worth the buy
A great bourbon. More powerful in taste and alcohol compared to its younger sibling. I had a side by side tasting and the extra six years in the barrel certainly makes a difference. Rich in flavour I'd recommend it highly.
