Caol Ila 2006 Reviews
Tasting notes from the producer
Nose: Smoked bacon, baked apple, and lemon peel aromas with a subtle briny edge.
Palate: Creamy with hints of pepper, ripe fruits, and dark chocolate. Grapefruit and charred oak develop on the finish.
Finish: Long and smoky.

The creamy texture hit me straight off along with the superb rich flavour. Quality Whisky, five star.
Sweet, wood smoke , spicy. lovely sweet arrival with long lasting smoky development and finish. Think the sherry mainly influences the sweetness of the whisky and is certainly not fighting to be heard but is much more subtle than that. all round amazing, one of the best Islay whiskies I have tasted, truly beautiful product.
